There was some disappointment. “Obviously.” The Vannes candidate, eliminated on October 26 from the twelfth season of Star Academy, does not hide it. But back in the city of the Veneti this Thursday, Paul Miles, vintage glasses, fur, sequined fringed sweater and scarlet red nails, has lost none of his splendor. Nor his cheerfulness. He is full of praise for his adventure at the castle. Two busy weeks. “I am very satisfied with this short but intense experience at the Star Academy castle,” he enthuses. It was an experience full of beautiful things, of life, of good humor, of joy, of tears. I come away more than a winner.”
What did this bring him? “More rigor, more accuracy,” he believes. The courses were complete, extremely rich. It was great. It was a unique chance to open up to the world of the stage.” It’s also an opportunity for him to get to know himself better. “It gave me a lot of knowledge about who I am deeply, about why I do this job. We have emotions to share. »
“A personal message from Celine Dion”
Without forgetting the memorable encounters with artists like Santa, Jérémy Frérot… “We even received a personal message from Céline Dion,” breathes Paul, his eyes sparkling. The connections made with the other candidates were also enriching. Maureen’s reliability, Ebony’s talent… “A great artist and performer” who, according to him, has the best chance of winning.
One thing is certain: Paul intends to continue the musical adventure beyond the walls of the Star Academy castle. No record label solicitations at this time. “We are waiting for something. We have choices to make,” he says, mysteriously. But he is determined to share his compositions with the public, in France and elsewhere, to discover his flamboyant world made of feathers and sequins. “I want to convey love, kindness and freedom,” he insists. Always with the same message in the background. He wants to encourage people to “be fully themselves, to listen to themselves and not trust society’s concept of being neatly placed in boxes”. And his fans won’t have to wait long. Paul will meet “his darlings”, as he calls them, during a concert at Le Brief, on December 12, at 9 p.m.
