The new series Weapons has been a real success on TVA since the broadcast of its big premiere on September 9. As reported by 7 Jours magazine we have just learned that the author of the adventure, Pierre-Marc Drouin, has decided to leave after the first season.
First of all, here is the summary of the series Weapons : Louis-Philippe Savard is ordered to take charge of Kanawata operations. The honest officer arrives at the military base plunged into turmoil following the death of an elite soldier during secret commando training JTF 16.
The 7th episode will be broadcast next Monday at 8 p.m. on TVA and the cast is very impressive, including Vincent-Guillaume Otis, François Papineau, Ève Landry, Frédéric Millaire-Zouvi, Irdens Exantus, Émile Schneider, Andreas Apergis and Larissa Corriveau.
This new release has been a huge success from the start and there is a great battle in terms of ratings against the series Dumaswhich is presented at the same time on ICI TÉLÉ.
Last Monday, Weapons amassed an excellent total of 586,000 viewers.
However, we have just learned some surprising news regarding the project, since author Pierre-Marc Drouin has just announced that he will not be returning after the first season. He confirmed the news during the day on Wednesday.
He came with this new release from Aetios Productions after having worked in particular on In Memory, Mont-Rouge as well as on Reasonable doubtduring the 2nd and 3rd season.
Pierre-Marc Drouin will therefore have finished working on the first 24 episodes and it will now be necessary to find a new replacement for him. A great experience for the author, but a heavy workload which was ultimately uncomfortable.
It will be interesting to watch for further developments regarding the excellent series Weapons.
