Cult (Prime): what happens to Delphine from Loft Story, today a mother of three children?

More than 20 years ago, Delphine Castex was one of the pioneers of reality in by participating in the first season of Loft Story. Today a fulfilled mother, she leads a quiet life far from fame.

An adventure that changed the life of Delphine Castex

In 2001, Delphine Castex, then aged 22, joined the Plaine Saint-Denis loft to live a unique experience in front of the cameras. If her time on the show was brief – she had to leave the adventure after 11 days for medical reasons – it nevertheless had a profound impact on her life.

“It’s an experience that made me grow, I learned to become more suspicious,” she confided to TV Magazine. “Like all candidates, I met good and bad people, I received good and bad offers. There was good and bad.”

After the show, Delphine had a difficult time: “I made a lot of money from Loft Story. But at some point, I felt the need to cut everything off and isolate myself. I had an equestrian center that I sold because I didn’t want to see anyone anymore.”

A new life away from the spotlight for Delphine

Now aged 45, Delphine leads a peaceful life in the countryside, far from the cameras. Returning to live in her native region of Hautes-Pyrénées, she is the happy mother of three children: Tilouis, César and Avril.

It was her meeting with François Gomez, women’s basketball coach and French champion, which marked a real turning point in her life. “My meeting with François, the father of my three wonderful children, really saved me“, she confides. “He is a very humble person who loves me for who I am and who helped me get through it. He was able to listen to my experiences.”

On a professional level, Delphine has multiplied her experiences after Loft Story : “I was a bar manager in 2007, and I did a whole bunch of jobs: ambulance driver, undertaker, salesperson… I also worked in woodworking, communications. No employer was disappointed! “

Looking back, Delphine takes a peaceful look at her time in Loft Story: “Over time, I ended up calming down. I met good people who wanted me well and who sincerely loved me as Delphine Castex and not as Delphine from Loft Story. “

“Cult”: behind the scenes of Loft Story

The journey of Delphine and the other lofters returns to the forefront with the upcoming release of “Cult”, a six-episode series which goes behind the scenes of the birth of Loft Story. Produced by Alexia Laroche-Joubert, who was already at the helm of the original show, this fiction promises to lift the veil on the underside of a program which revolutionized the French audiovisual landscape.

With a promising cast including Anaïde Rozam in the role of Alexia Laroche-Joubert and Marie Colomb in that of Loana, “Worship” promises to be a fascinating journey behind the scenes of a television phenomenon that marked an entire generation.
