the essential
The 16th Neighborhood Talents competition is launched in . The auditions will take place on October 30. 15 winners will be selected by the jury.

This year the rules change somewhat. For the 16th edition of Neighborhood Talents, for the first time, former winners will be able to apply again. Another change, around fifteen people will be selected after the casting on October 30 compared to around ten in previous years. Because the goal this year is to put on a musical show inspired by Enfoirés. The objective through this experience is to help young people progress. “This new concept is an interesting artistic challenge,” says Abdel Abdesselam, co-founder of the Ampère studio and member of the jury.

This year therefore, in addition to the performances of young people (you can apply from 8 to 29 years old), the jury will also take into account the fact of forming a homogeneous group, which works well together. “It’s never been so wide open. It’s going to be a hell of a fight,” assures Alain Navarro, co-director of Pause Guitare, associated with the event. This year, the jury will be made up of Marine Peyroux, Abdel Abdesselam, Eric Laurens, Embée, Stéphan Solo and Fabienne Ménard.

Once selected, the young people will join a cycle of support and training throughout the year and will earn the right to perform in concerts accompanied by professional artists. They will thus participate in the off of Pause Guitare, the 25th anniversary of the Urban festival, the music festival, place for the artists… A great springboard!

In 16 years, Talents de Quartiers has enabled the emergence of several artists. Today 5 or 6 young people have found their professional path, including Embée, singer and composer, who started on the Albigensian stages.
