Laëtitia Milot recounts her first accidental TV appearance with Thierry Ardisson

VIDEO INTERVIEW – Invited on the “Buzz TV” set, the new presenter of “Meilleur Pâtissier” recounted one of her first television memories with the man in black, at the end of the 1990s.

«Ready, set, bake!“. This is the new mantra of Laëtitia Milot this fall. The actress was chosen to present “Le Meilleur Pâtissier”, which returns for a thirteenth season this Thursday, October 10 on M6. His trademark? Sketches broadcast at the start of the show, with game judges Mercotte and Cyril Lignac, to announce the theme of the day. “ It is each time taken from a film or fiction, Little Red Riding Hood or Grey’s Anatomy in the first episodes», specifies the person concerned on the set of “Buzz TV” which is at the origin of this novelty.

On the set, Laëtitia Milot, who describes herself as a gourmand, tasted all the candidates’ cakes. “Cyril Lignac cut three pieces each time, she congratulates herself. I wanted to taste everything out of respect for the candidates and I am curious: I want to understand what they are judged on and if Cyril and Mercotte are telling the truth“, she continues. Which had no impact on the scales. “I lost a kilo, can you imagine!she tells us. I followed Mercotte’s advice which is to taste small quantities, in a spoon. And despite my desire to have 50, because some of the cakes were delicious, I limited myself to one bite of each. And at lunchtime and in the evening, I didn’t have dessert, I had my dose of sugar for the day».

During the interview, Laëtitia Milot returned to her career in television, talking about Mélanie Rinato, her character in More beautiful life who made him known to the general public. But also his first TV appearance going back further than that. At the house of Thierry Ardisson in “Everybody talks about it” in 1998. She was then 18 years old. “At the time, I was a switchboard operator calling broadcast audiences. And one evening, around twenty people couldn’t come. So to fill in the gaps, I was asked to appear in the audience. I didn’t have any makeup on, I didn’t have my hair done, I had on a stupid little pink top. In short, I wasn’t ready to be on TV at all.“, she says. And as there were no women around the table, the man in black asked her to come around the table. “And then my heart started beating, I said to myself: “no, it’s not possible”. I sat down at the table and he honestly asked me questions, I was petrified, really. I didn’t know what to say“, she remembers.
