At 34 years old, Tom Leeb has a good head on his shoulders, and he takes his career very seriously. Although he is the son of Michel Leeb, with whom he made his debut on stage, he does not want to be reduced to this title, only.
This is the reason why he refused to appear on Dancing with the Stars. This is what he explains this October 10, 2024, to Isabelle Morizet, on Europe 1.
Tom Leeb refused an offer from TF1
Without giving a particular date, he confides: “yes because above all, I was offered that, I was barely at the start of my career”. And added: “So at this stage it still looked a little more like Dance with the son of a star than anything else.”
Tom Leeb indeed remembers “I hadn’t done anything, I was offered this, I was like ‘what, why?’“He assures that to his face, the production flattered him. And they would have told him: “Uh, yes, you don’t realize everything you’ve done.”
“Dancing with the Stars” is without him
And he keeps a cool head: “I just made a TV movie that hasn’t even been released yet“before refusing.
In the end, Fanny Leeb’s brother takes responsibility for it: “No, this kind of thing is really not for me.”. And Isabelle Morizet ironically jokes about TF1’s flagship program: “They are too used to receiving influencers.”
Which did not prevent Tom Leeb from working on several occasions with the first channel. Indeed, we saw it in “Under the Saint-Tropez sun”, “Research section”and in “Plan B“.
