The Mysteries of Love are present on air since 2011. A joy for those who have followed the adventures of Hélène and her group of friends since Helene and the boys. Since the 1990s, we have seen the actors and their characters evolve; a bit like we grew up with them. SO, obviously, the announcement of a departure is never a celebration and even more so when it concerns a key character. So, Philippe Vasseur (aka José) left the adventure in December 2023 breaking the hearts of fans and his acolytes.
Asked by Here Paris, Hélène Rollès was interviewed for the upcoming release of her next album. On this occasion, she reacted for the first time to this sudden departure. To our colleagues, the 57-year-old actress gave her impressions: “Very disappointed! We miss him. And the duo he forms with Patrick Puydebat is irreplaceable. We love him as he is, our Philippe, despite his grumpy side“However, she tries to remain positive considering a possible return. “He says no, but it’s not the first time he’s gone” added the interpreter of Helene.

In a video posted on Facebook, “José” made this revelation thus ending 32 years of service. Indeed, it was in 1992 that he joined the AB Productions sitcom Helen and the Boys. On France 3, the 58-year-old actor spoke openly about his departure. “I spent half my life saying the texts of Hélène and the boys, The miracle of love, The holidays of love and The mysteries of love. As long as I was having fun, it was fine,” he says.
“It must be said that with my friend Patrick Puydebat, the interpreter of Nicolas, we had some good sequences, we had some laughs, despite the long days, despite the texts… which I found , me, light” he openly said, saying he was ready to stop acting if the phone didn’t ring.
One thing is certain, his choice is well thought out: “I wasn’t having fun anymore and I was having trouble learning the lyrics, it was becoming too heavy for meI just wanted quality. I don’t spit in the soup. However, at 58 years old, I have the right to say that I want to work in quality thingsto say quality texts where I take pleasure, something that makes me hard! Really ! “.
