But Yann Barthès drives the point home a little further: “How does it feel to have the same hair as me?”

he asks. To which Gilles Lellouche blurted out: “It’s great, it doesn’t age at all, that’s what’s good.”

Then it was the turn of Adele Exarchopoulos and François Civil to arrive on the set, they who play the two main roles.
Gilles Lellouche then returned to the reasons for his choice over these two actors. “We were filming a barbecue scene for Bac (…) I saw my heroes in them, because I saw the complicity they had. I saw the unattractive physique they had too!“, he said, laughing. “I said to myself that yes, there was a very nice cinema couple to make with them” he added.

Indeed, Adele Exarchopoulos remembers the call from Gilles Lellouche about this film project. “He told us: ‘I’ve had a film in my heart for seventeen years, it’s a great love story, I’m thinking of you,’ and a year later, he told me called, he said to me: ‘Can we have lunch, I’ll give you my script'”.

Thus, the actress will join all the other actors chosen by Gilles Lellouche: “I arrived at a table at the restaurant, there was Jean-Pascal Zadi, François Civil, Vincent Lacoste. I found it exceptional because that never happens.”
