Sarah, narrowly escapes elimination in “Koh-Lanta”: “Jacques, this is my first big disappointment of the adventure”

Were you happy to be selected in Ugo’s team?
Ugo was a very good leader, a dream team captain, I still call him captain today! (laughs) He was really someone who was humble, sharing, extremely caring, who took a huge step back from things, who questioned us rather than imposing things on us too. It was really a rich exchange with him, I was very happy.

Did you feel good with the Reds as a result?
Yes, among the reds, there was a really good atmosphere. From the first hours on the island, everyone had their place, we didn’t particularly ask questions, everyone found their role. I like to laugh, and we also made fun of a lot of things with Maud and with Ugo, it was very pleasant.

In your portrait, however, you say that you can sometimes be explosive, has that sometimes played tricks on you?
I wanted to say that when you push yourself physically and mentally to the limit, you absolutely have no idea how you will react. I know that I tend to say things quite frankly, without getting too deep, but at least I feel like I say things when I need to say them. So no, I don’t think it harmed me, but it didn’t necessarily please everyone, and especially one person, but afterward, it was the game. We also know that we don’t can’t get along with everyone, whether there on adventure or in everyday life.

In the episode of the raft test, we see you a little annoyed with Alexandre, was cohabitation in the camp complicated?
No, that’s the part we see, but in reality I’m going to look for it, on the contrary, I’m trying to temper it and have a discussion. He wasn’t necessarily inclined at the time. I took it upon myself to stay calm, because it’s complicated when you’re faced with a person who is upset to stay calm too. But no, honestly with Alexandre, we got along very well overall.

You have your argument with Gustin, then he is the one chosen as ambassador. Would you have preferred to be in his place?
No, I would not have liked to be an ambassador because I find that we have to make a really hard choice, both for ourselves and for others. And I know I wouldn’t have particularly appreciated this place. So no, I wanted to be forgotten a little bit at that time and not be an ambassador at all, that’s clear (laughs).

Did you accept Gustin’s decision to eliminate Emmanuelle?
It’s complicated because Emmanuelle is really a good person, with whom we had very good times, who brought a lot of joy to the camp, who was absolutely not unworthy during the events. On the contrary, it brought us. It’s Gustin’s choice, we can’t blame him for eliminating someone either. And at the same time, I find it very sad for Emmanuelle. So at this point I’m a little torn, I admit. We also knew very well that Gustin was not going to go to the black ball, we had no illusions. It’s the hard game of “Koh-Lanta”.

When you arrive at the camp of the reunited tribes, we immediately see you getting closer to Jacques. Did it really happen naturally?
Yes ! When we arrived on the beach, from the first episode, I immediately saw that he was someone who was very sunny, very happy. During the tests, when we got in line, he was one of the only people to look at us, to smile at us, to ask us how things were going with Frédéric. So yes it happened really very naturally, I was impatient and happy to find him again.
