For six years, Pierre-Antoine Damecour presented the humorous column “Petite lucarne” on L’Equipe. But last July, he announced his departure for a new adventure. A choice that he returned to during an interview for Monaco Matin (September 27 edition).
A departure after six years of happiness for Pierre-Antoine Damecour
His adventure on l’Equipe began thanks to Estelle Denis, who recruited him for her show at the time Estelle’s Teamin 2018. “Petite lucarne” was born and very quickly, the charming 40-year-old brunette became a flagship figure of the channel. Despite the departure of the presenter for RMC in 2021, he remained in the program now called Greg’s Teampresented by Grégory Ascher.
But in July, he announced his decision to jump ship. “There you go, that’s it, it’s time. The moment to announce to you with a heavy and already nostalgic heart that the Petite Lucarne will not resume next season. It’s a decision that was difficult to make, because it’s a real happiness and an incredible pleasure this daily meeting with you on the L’Equipe channel for six years now. (…) With the team, we feel that we have come around a bit. So I don’t want to do the season too long, to disappoint you and myself. More personally, I need to catch my breath, unplug my brain a little and above all, renew myself“, he wrote in particular. And to specify that he was writing his first film and preparing his first One Man Show.
Pierre-Antoine Damecour is not leaving the small screen just yet. He indeed finds his sidekick Estelle Denis in Estelle à midi, on RMC, to offer a humorous column on current events. A new project on which he confided with Monaco Matin. “We never lost sight of each other [avec Estelle Denis, NDLR] and I knew I was going to be well received. But after six years at the Team, I needed something else. I have two children, I came home late at night, I had written a lot about sports news, I didn’t want to do too much of the season. Initially, I had the ambition to write my show and then Estelle’s call convinced me“, he declared. He is delighted to completely change register and maintain a rhythm of “daily creation” that he loves so much. However, he hasn’t forgotten his two other projects.
