On the occasion of Francophonie Summit Télévisions offers you two major cultural evenings: The Great Bookstore Wednesday October 2 at 9:05 p.m. on France 5 and The Grand Concert of the Francophonie Friday October 4 at 9:05 p.m. on France 3!

We offer you passes for the temporary exhibition “It’s a song that resembles us. World successes of French-speaking popular music” at the Cité Internationale de la Langue Française – Château de Villers-Cotterêts as well as copies of the eponymous book by Bertrand Dicale!!

The Great Bookstore relocates to Villers-Cotterêts on the occasion of 19th Francophonie Summit. Augustin Trapenard will host a special show from the International city of the French language ! It will receive French-speaking writers who promote the French language throughout the world and who make it their literary territory.

Having fun with words, learning the secrets of French, but also its history and its origins will also be on the program for this evening rich in meaning and symbols. Will be present, among others, the Franco-Congolese novelist Alain Mabanckouthe philologist and academician Barbara Cassinthe Franco-Afghan writer and director Atiq Rahimi

THE GREAT CONCERT OF THE FRANCOPHONIE

France 3 celebrate the French language by offering a major concert! For this event, many artists from all over the world come together to celebrate French-speaking music and its most beautiful songs. under the musical direction of Scott Price.

An evening on two continents, presented in France by Cyril Féraud from the magnificent Château de Villers-Cotterêts, International City of the French Language, and in Quebecpar Véronic Dicaire, Patrick Bruel and Black M from the Agora of the port of Quebec, in front of more than 10,000 people.

On these two stages many artists accompany them: Alain Chamfort, Natasha St-Pier, Isabelle Boulay, Jenifer, Patrick Fiori, Amadou et Mariam, Santa, Daniel Lavoie, M. A musical bridge between two countries that spread French song and language throughout the world!

The 19th Francophonie Summit opens on October 4, 2024 at the Cité internationale de la langue française, in Villers-Cotterêts, a place entirely dedicated to the French language and French-speaking cultures. At the initiative of the President of the Republic, this summit brings together all the French-speaking heads of state in the world, a major event, both diplomatically and politically, economically and culturally, with the French language as a link.
