It is with a new and award-winning fiction at the last La Rochelle Fiction Festival that France 2 took the lead in the audiences this Wednesday, September 25. “On Trial”, a TV film directed by Akim Isker, won the “best unit” prize. The fiction with Frankie Wallach, Bernard Campan and Clémentine Célarié in the cast, attracted 2.89 million of viewers. 16.4% of the public aged 4 and over and 7% of Women responsible for purchasing aged under 50 (FRDA-50) were swept away by the story of Ambre, a young, precarious single mother who tries to get by by becoming a scavenger.
Last Wednesday, the finale of “The Eclipse”, a mini-series led by Claire Keim, had already allowed the Two to take first place. The last two episodes attracted 2.96 million viewers (16.6% of the public and 6.9% of the FRDA-50).
TF1 and France 3 in a pocket handkerchief
TF1 comes in second position with the continuation of the last season of “Good doctor”. The two episodes of the medical series with Freddie Highmore captivated 2.19 million of faithful. This is equivalent to an audience share of 13.0%. This climbs to 24% on the FRDA-50 target (indicator which only concerns the 1st episode). Last week, the program attracted 2.04 million viewers (11.4% of the entire public and 18.8% of the FRDA-50).
France 3 is just behind with a new episode of “Roots and Wings” entitled “On the forgotten paths of the Basque Country”. The meeting presented by Carole Gaessler took people on a journey 2.02 million of viewers. 12.0% of the public and 3% FRDA-50s are passionate about the landscapes of this corner of the Pyrénées-Atlantiques. The last new issue of the magazine broadcast on September 11 attracted 1.92 million viewers (11.5% of the public and 3% of the FRDA-50).
Disaster for M6 and the “Golden Bachelor”, dubbed by C8
C8 is fourth and arrives in front of M6 with “Rambo II: the mission”. The 1985 action film directed by George P. Cosmatos starring Sylvester Stallone in the title role attracted 821,000 viewers on average, i.e. 5.1% of the public.

After a difficult start last Wednesday (M6 came 6th in the evening), “The Golden Bachelor” did even less well for its second evening of broadcast. The first part of the M6 show which aims to find the rare pearl in Landry, a single senior looking for love, appealed 796,000 viewers, or 4.4% of the public and 9% FRDA-50s. The second part of the program presented by Stéphane Rotenberg caught the attention of 757,000 viewers. This corresponds to 5.8% individuals aged 4 and over. Last week, 978,000 viewers (5.1% of the public and 11.1% of the FRDA-50) attended the launch of the show.
