Tomorrow Belongs to Us: Summary of the episode of September 26, 2024

Lisa says goodbye

Lisa has been released from the hospital. In the early morning, snuggled up in Aaron’s arms, she confides in him that she has a knot in her stomach at the thought of Letellier being alive. She would have preferred him to die. Aaron replies that it is understandable and tries to reassure her by telling her that he is locked up in a high-security prison. Then, he encourages her to move on and think about herself, Amel and their new life in Berlin. Lisa asks him when he will come to visit her. Aaron replies that he prefers to give her time to settle in first. At that moment, Victoire knocks on the door of their room. The young woman has come to bring them breakfast, because it is Lisa’s last day at home.

Not far away, François is having breakfast with his family. Alain is there. Adam is not hungry and leaves the table. He has to take a shower before going to see Amel. Alain points out to Soizic that Amel’s departure is difficult for Adam. Soizic retorts that he is young and will get over it. She adds that she has never really been a fan of Amel. Adam comes back to get his phone and hears his mother’s comments. He gets angry.

Adam skips class to go to Victoire’s. Amel and Lisa are packing their bags. Adam gives Amel a beautiful black and white photo of them that he took on the beach. Amel hugs him and thanks him warmly.

Lisa goes to the police station to say goodbye to her colleagues. They have organized a surprise farewell party for her. Martin points out that they will miss her courage or rather her stubbornness. The young woman thanks her colleagues for these two wonderful, intense years and confides in Aurore that she has often been impressed by her intuition. Aurore gives the young woman, on behalf of everyone, a large frame filled with photos of her and the team. Lisa is touched. Aurore tells the young woman that they will miss her. Lisa takes the time to hug each of her colleagues one by one.

Joël explains himself to Mona and Alain under the spell of…

At the Spoon, Mona checks the cards and finds some hope. Love is in the air. Plus, she has a match on her dating app with a funny and witty guy. Bart warns her, because on these types of apps, many men are only looking for adventures.

At the hospital, Alain approaches Marianne in the lobby because he had a blood test last week. He was supposed to receive the results by email, but didn’t receive anything. Marianne suggests that he ask at the reception. At that moment, Mona arrives and Alain greets her. Mona asks him why he’s there and adds: “Are you following me? Isn’t it enough for you to ruin my reputation with the customers of my restaurant?” Marianne asks Mona to calm down and specifies that it’s a misunderstanding. In vain. Mona advises Marianne to be wary of Alain, whom she describes as a schemer. Marianne finally decides to take care of Alain. She has his results printed out and informs him that everything is fine overall except for a slight excess of cholesterol. She explains to Alain that cholesterol levels tend to increase with age, even in very thin people. Then, intrigued, she asks him what happened with Mona to make her so angry with him. Alain confides in her that she had a crush on him, that it was not mutual, and that she was offended. Marianne jokes that she will add to her file that he is a heartbreaker. Alain laughs out loud and seems to fall under her spell.

In the hall, Mona runs into Joel who has come to remove his cast. He tells her that chance does things well. He dreamed of being able to talk to her and explain everything to her. Joel adds that he doesn’t care what Alain said and that in his eyes, she will always be perfectly presentable and wonderful. Mona smiles and suggests that they go and talk. Joel accepts and tells Noor who is there that he will make another appointment to have his cast removed.

Sitting on a bench, Joël explains to Mona that his cell phone fell into a sewer a few days ago and that while trying to get it back, he hurt his other hand, and that’s why he couldn’t get back in touch with her. Mona, for her part, also justifies herself. She explains to Joël that she really hit on Alain because she thought he was the “mouth-watering” one. Joël asks her if she’s not too disappointed, because Alain has beautiful blue eyes. Mona answers that he has beautiful eyes too and agrees to have dinner with him. Then, she receives a call from Georges who asks her to pick up Lucien from daycare. Joël decides to wait for Mona to return on this bench.
