After a season 1 of Monster tracing the journey of Jeffrey Dahmer (also known as Dahmer when it was released), Ryan Murphy and Ian Brennan explore in season 2 the psychology of two criminal brothers, convicted of the murder of their parents in 1996, whose motive continues to be the subject of debate. In the United States, the case had been widely talked about in the 90s.
Almost 30 years later, this case has become a work of fiction. Monsters: The Story of Lyle and Erik Menendez is available on Netflix from September 19, 2024. The cast includes:The producers chose to entrust the roles to young talents, Nicholas Chavez, just seen in the American soap General Hospital and the more experienced Cooper Koch (Swallowed, Power Book II: Ghost).
A third season of the anthology series is already planned, which will retrace the journey of a character who has largely inspired cinema (Psycho, The Texas Chainsaw Massacre, The Silence of the Lambs…): Ed Gein. Charlie Hunnam (Sons of Anarchy) has already been announced as a performer.
