For many years, Marina Carrère d’Encausse was an iconic face of the Health Magazine on France 5. The sonographer, however, said goodbye to the show she hosted with Michel Cymes last May. On Tuesday, September 17, she was invited onto the set of Chez Jordan on C8.
During her interview with Jordan de Luxe, the 62-year-old was asked about her retirement. While she did not wish to reveal the amount, she admitted: “Compared to the average French person, yes, I am privileged.“. She will thus one day be able to touch a “comfortable retirement”.

Throughout her career, Marina Carrère d’Encausse has seen
his salary evolves. However, she revealed to Jordan de Luxe that she had been victim of wage inequality. “Overall, there are several times in my life where I was paid less than a man for the same result.” she explained.
More broadly, those who have been injured in an accident in the past have realized that equal pay does not necessarily mean equal work. “Even if we have the same salaries, there is a difference where women have to work twice as hard to get the same salary.” she said.
The presenter never compared her salary to that of Michel Cymes
Asked about Michel Cymes’ salary, Marina Carrère d’Encausse revealed that she had not never compared to his friendShe thus confided: “Even though I was a producer of the show, I never poked my nose into the accounts, so I don’t know if Michel earned as much as I did.” According to her, bonuses or exclusivity contracts can also quickly make a difference.
