Free announces a special broadcast on September 11 on Oqee Ciné for its subscribers

Discover on Oqee Ciné a film like no other that pays tribute to the victims of the attacks of September 11, 2001 through the intimate stories of five ordinary people played by renowned actors.

“On the occasion of the anniversary of September 11, OQEE Ciné is offering a special program with the broadcast of the film 11 septembre (9/11), a poignant work that looks back at the tragic events of September 11, 2001,” Free announced today on its web portal. This production highlights the human experiences on this day that shook the entire world.

Synopsis: “The film 9/11 is set in the heart of the tragedy of September 11, 2001, when two planes crashed into the World Trade Center towers in New York City. The plot follows five people trapped in an elevator in the North Tower after the impact of the first plane. As chaos reigns outside, these five individuals, who have nothing in common, must learn to help each other survive. As the hours pass, they form unexpected bonds and confront their deepest fears. The film is inspired by true events and offers a reflection on the fragility of life, the importance of unity in times of crisis, and the human capacity to face adversity.”

This poignant feature film brings together an XXL cast like Charlie Sheen in the role of a businessman trapped in the elevator, Whoopi Goldberg playing an elevator operator, who tries to guide the trapped people. Or Luis Guzmán who plays an ordinary worker caught in the middle of the horror who thanks to his humor and humanity helps to ease the tensions. Not to mention Wood Harris as a very strong-willed security guard and Olga who plays a terrified young woman who finds the strength to support others.

Free’s AVOD platform now has more than 600 films and series. Available on many media such as Freebox, connected TVs, Apple TV, mobiles and the web, this service is included for Freebox and Free Mobile 5G subscribers.
