CNews “is no longer a news channel, but has become an opinion media”, the channel in the sights of the French media regulator
On two humorously designed posters, we can see Yann Barthès posing with a quote. The latter had been pronounced by Pascal Praud, host of CNews, who had declared: “They are so afraid of live broadcasts, Yann Barthès is so afraid of live broadcasts. Except when he receives Madame Assa Traoré!”
For the second poster, it is the turn of journalist Jean-Michel Aphatie to pose for the return of the TMC show. In the caption, the sentence “Jean-Michel Aphatie, the pope of political correctness” is indicated. A reference to a ‘punchline’ by Eliot Deval, a journalist from CNews and also part of Cyril Hanouna’s gang on Europe 1.
TPMP’s response
After the publication of the promotional posters, Touche pas à mon poste did not hesitate to react and parody them. On the photos of Yann Barthès and Jean-Michel Aphatie, we can read: “Yann Barthès without his earpiece is Jean-Marc without Jeff Panacloc” et “Before, Jean-Michel Aphatie would polish my glaouis, I had to give him a chamois leather.”
The show ‘Baba’, which will not be renewed from January 1, 2025, also states on the two parodied posters: “If you’re going to bore us, you might as well use the darkest sentences. (editor’s note: the funniest)”
