On January 13, 2025, Arcom unveiled the new TNT numbering from June 6. And that didn’t only make people happy…
White smoke in the French audiovisual landscape: on January 13, 2025, Arcom unveiled the new numbering of DTT, from June 6. A verdict that did not please everyone.
RMC BFM “deplores an arbitrary decision”
In a press release, the RMC BFM group deplored “an arbitrary decision” et “contrary to the public interest who in the vast majority wish minimal change in his habits linked to numbering“. After having hammered home that the reconfiguration “disadvantage”, the group displays its surprise at the “change of position of Arcom, to which case law has so far attributed to the latest entrants the last available numbers“.
From 15 to 13
According to the new numberings announced by Arcom, BFM TV, who was on the 15, will move to the 13. Where the problem lies for the RMC group is when it comes time to take a look at the channel which will, from June, be accessible on the 15. And it won’t be anything else… that LCI, a concurrentwhich was until then on channel 26.
Compared to the last argument raised by the RMC group, it echoes the channels allocated to CMI TV and OFTV: newcomers will take the numberings 18 et 19while the list announced by Arcom includes 25 channels.
Upheavals
The new grid made public by the regulator includes several upheavals since, as a reminder, C8 and NRJ12 were ejected. For its part, the Canal group announced, during the month of December, that it was withdrawing its pay channels from DTT as a sign of protest at the exclusion of C8. This therefore included Canal +, Canal + Cinema, Canal + Sport and Planète +.
