Order, counter-order, demonstration then counter-demonstration. This is the almost daily lot of activists, particularly union activists. So, when they learned that Elisabeth Borne, the new Minister of National Education, was likely to spend a moment in the Oise and more particularly in Nogent-sur-Oise at the Marie Curie high school, it was as well to say that the teachers' unions were headwind in order to demonstrate on the one hand, and meet their supervisory minister on the other hand.
However, the prefecture confirmed this on Monday the 13th during the day. “There are no plans at all for Madame Borne to travel to Oise this Tuesday, January 14.”
The name had nevertheless been widely circulated for a reception where various players in the economic life of the sector were invited, but the ministerial imperatives including the presentation of the Prime Minister this Tuesday, January 14 from 3 p.m. of what will be the policy of the nation in months, weeks, or… hours to come (as governments come one after another!) that Minister Élisabeth Borne's place will indeed be alongside her government colleagues.
What about the high mass planned at the Marie Curie high school this Tuesday, January 14? A meeting visibly postponed just like the planned demonstration of the FSU and SNES union which proved, once again, their ability to react at the right moment.
-“Under these conditions, we are canceling the demonstration,” says Pierre Rippart, union representative. “Our minister cancels his trip to Marie Curie high school. The rectorate and the regional council do not deserve our welcome with fanfare,” quips, in turn, Guy Friadt for the SNES.
