Worn by Scott Caan and Dania Ramirez, Alert is intended to be quite close to American realities… Normal when we know that it was born following a mishap experienced by its co-creator, the star Jamie Foxx!
Alert : a police mother investigating the traces of her missing son
Alert will take us in the footsteps of a policewoman like no other, Nikki Batista Batista. After losing track of her son Keith, who went missing, she will join the MPU. A Philadelphia police unit, specialized in searching for missing and kidnapped people, renowned for its efficiency. Throwing herself headlong into her investigations alongside a squad that supports her, Nikki is driven by another mission: to find her child. One day, everything will change, when six years after her disappearance, her ex-husband, Jason Grant, comes to meet her. In front of her, he will hold a photo showing that Keith is still alive. But are we sure it’s really him? Trying everything, the inspector will try to find out…
Alert : the misadventure of Jamie Foxx at the basis of the series
Co-creator and producer ofAlertwe owe the idea for the series to Jamie Foxx. A particularly renowned singer and actor, he set up this project after being touched by what almost was a tragedy. Indeed, it was after his child had disappeared for several hours that he contacted the services responsible for searching for missing persons. Once he found his offspring, the artist worked on Alertmarked by the work carried out by specialized police units. On screen, note that no investigation is however based on real events, although certain episodes are inspired by recent news in the USA.
