Tuesday January 7, 2025, a few weeks before C8 closed its doors, Cyril Hanouna was back on the air with a new issue of Touche pas à mon poste. On the phone, his mother then declared: “I'm looking at you, I put the TV on, you are all beautiful. You are all very beautiful and fortunately C8 exists, because otherwise we'll get bored”. Words applauded by the public… With humor, the host said: “And I tell you, my mother is a veteran of Arcom!”. To which the latter replied: “But no, I hate Arcom!“.
Cyril Hanouna: “We are studying this avenue”
The day before, the 50-year-old host had discussed the future of the show. “We wanted to know if it was possible in the CStar convention to do a talk show, TPMP type, between 6 p.m. and 9:30 p.m., in the times we are in”he began before specifying: “A priori, yes it is possible, the agreement allows it. So we're going to work on thatthere are other avenues”.
In complete transparency, Cyril Hanouna had indicated to his columnists and the public: “We are studying this avenue, but I will tell you what will happen in the coming days. This is the most advanced with the teams. The good news is that it is possible to do a talk show on the CStar channel“.

A few weeks earlier, the host had visited several dozen demonstrators gathered in Paris in front of the ARCOM headquarters. “You know that I am fighting for us to continue and for TPMP to continue. Present among the demonstrators, Emilie Thelot, declared that she had come to defend freedom of expression. “It’s important to me that all points of view can be expressed. C8, with TPMP, guarantees the expression of these different points of view“he assured.
