While the French president denounced Elon Musk’s interference in the German elections, the boss of X returned the accusations to him.

After Keir Starmer, Olaf Scholz and now Emmanuel Macron… Will all European leaders soon be at open war with Elon Musk? The French president slammed him during the thirtieth conference of ambassadors this Monday, and the American billionaire, very reactive, did not fail to defend himself on his social network X.

In his speech supposed to present French priorities for 2025 in terms of foreign policy, Emmanuel Macron listed the crises affecting the world. He attacked, without naming him, the American billionaire. On his X account, Elon Musk therefore broadcasts this passage, which caught his attention: “Ten years ago, if we had been told that the owner of one of the largest social networks in the world would support a new reactionary international movement and intervene directly in elections, including in Germany, who would have imagined it?”. Emmanuel Macron was referring to Musk’s continued support for Germany’s far-right AfD party.

“Oh, is it like that time Keir Starmer called Donald Trump a racist?”

Little appreciating these accusations, the boss of X is ironic in the caption of his publication: “Oh, is it like that time Starmer called Donald Trump a racist and said the British government should do everything to stop him? Or that other one where Starmer sent members of his Labor party to campaign against our president? Through these rhetorical questions, he denounces what he considers to be British interference in the American electoral campaign.

In October 2024, the Trump camp accused Labor of having sent certain members of the party to campaign for the benefit of Democrat Kamala Harris. Allegations denied on the British side. For weeks, Elon Musk and Keir Starmer have been going through a series of battles. Could the Macron-Musk relationship become so explosive?
