The actress, who has already appeared in Murders in Lilleconfided in Tele-Leisure about this new role and this shoot.
Murders in Château-Thierry : “It was the first time I played a cop“, confided Elsa Lunghini
Tele-Leisure : What attracted you to the role of Laetitia?
Elsa Lunghini : She is a cop who is very involved in what she does. I like Laetitia's personality, she has a certain depth. She is quite secretive, we feel that she has a bit of a history. She goes to investigate to find out who killed her father. The plot has a family and filial aspect which I liked. It was the first time I played a cop. I found it quite cool, it's a different job with weapon holding, a way of being and behaving.
Do you have anything in common with your character?
His perseverance, not giving up and going all the way. She has a strong character, she does not let herself be dismantled by adversity. This speaks to me, whether in my everyday life or in my professional life. I started this profession very young. You have to fight, always keep the faith, be motivated, and have confidence. All my life, I have had the will to do what I wanted and to follow through. It sometimes requires taking it upon yourself and drawing strength from within yourself which is extremely constructive. This is what made me.
There is also a question of family secrets in this TV film. Is this a subject that speaks to you?
People around me have experienced this, but as far as I'm concerned, no. I don't have any family secrets that stopped me from growing up. But it can be very devastating, it conditions life, what we are, what we become. This can create terrible problems.
Murders in Château-Thierry : “It was very cold”, Elsa Lunghini recounts the conditions of filming of the France 3 TV film
A quick word about your playing partners Clément Manuel and Philippe Lelièvre? With Clément Manuel, we had never worked together. We met before filming during a lunch and then a reading session. Clément is great, he's easy to approach, quite funny and very pleasant to work with. I also have enormous affection for Philippe Lelièvre. It was a pretty fun shoot, our trio was great. I got along well with both of them. We had a good laugh.
How did filming go at Château-Thierry?
Thanks to the team and my partners, this shoot was very pleasant and relaxing. But it really wasn't the best time of the year, we had fleet for a month and it was very cold. It was pretty good to be with partners you could have a laugh with. We made fun of it a little, we got up every day saying “Oh there, another day of fleeting”.
