For the creative test, the apprentice pastry chefs were asked to design a cake that would transport the two members of the jury instantly to this country. José et Remember did very well; while Romain et Timothy were shunned. On the other hand, the latter shone during the technical test consisting of reproducing a mosaic bird cake by Jorge Cardoso, the most decorated Portuguese pastry chef. Difficult ! Especially since the candidates had to guess which flavors made up this dessert and then obtain relative cards allowing them to make it. Not everyone started on an equal footing, and it was Timothée who won the technical test for the seventh time in a row.

Romain eliminated, he leaves without any regrets
While explaining to our colleagues that the technical tests were “the hardest” according to him, Romain affirmed that he was absolutely not “not sad” to have been eliminated. “I was just proud of my journey and everything I had experienced in that tent at the Best pastry chef. I said to Laëtitia Milot: ‘Don’t cry, darling, this time!’ Because she cried the first time and that didn’t put me in good conditions. I was even more moved“he insisted, before concluding by announcing that he was currently working on “a big, crazy project which will be achieved thanks to Best pastry chef“. To be continued!
