A new week has started at the Château de Dammarie-les-Lys. Despite Maïa's departure at the end of the prime Star Academy 2024 from Friday December 13. And this week, the public is in the spotlight. Marine, Charles, Ebony, Franck, Ulysse and Marguerite are still in the race. After having the pleasure of giving a showcase last Saturday, in Beaugrenelle, everyone discovered that it was Internet users who were going to choose their songs for the evaluations. They were invited to vote via a survey on the show's website. A theater assessment was required. The participants had to do an improvisation. In the end, the teachers' mark will count for 50% and that of the public 50% as well. So it looks to be tight!
Franck 15/20
It is Stay With Me by Sam Smith that the candidate performed, at the request of the public. A song that perfectly showcased the sweetness in her voice. And following his exceptional performance on Saturday on Don't leave me by Jacques Brel, he once again wanted to show that he could be emotional. However, it was sometimes a little monotonous. For the improvisation theater, everyone had to tell a story drawn from a piece of cardboard (his was that he was given his nephew for the first time, for a day). But the teachers had to throw out words to integrate into the story during his improv. He had the right to camembert, fire, espresso, stapler. We must say that, even if the passage about the fire was not very realistic (obviously, you can start a fire by playing with toy cars), he did well and was funny. Perhaps he could have spoken a little slower and brought more tones to his voice.
Ulysses 12/20
Ulysses inherited New York with youfrom the Telephone group. A title that perfectly matches its universe. Unsurprisingly, he therefore managed his interpretation. No false notes for once. And he put a lot of energy and a few little dance steps into his performance. In short, he let go. We wanted to get up to sing and dance with him. His best singing review! In theater, he had to tell a story about “You're waiting for your date in the rain, but he/she doesn't arrive.” He had to place the words napkin, sausage, moped, saucer. It must be said, it went in all directions. But it was so funny. It remains to be seen whether his not at all realistic story will pass. We love it anyway! The students also really appreciated it and Marine sees it in the Top 3.
Charles 13/20
The public voted and chose The businessman's blues of Starmania for the charming blond. Although he was ill and therefore not in the best shape, this was not felt in his voice. On the other hand, we regret its lack of interpretation (as usual). For his theater improv, he drew the card: “You are going shopping for your old neighbor”. He had to place the words jackhammer, jacuzzi, aspirin, brioche and RER. Unlike Franck and Ulysses, we laughed less. And towards the end, he went out of the main story, which could penalize it. Is it Hugues Hamelynck’s fault? This could be according to some Internet users and students. They found that the theater teacher took a long time to give the different words. And who paid? The poor wall Charles punched into.
Marguerite 14/20
The bubbly brunette sang Facile by Camélia Jordana. And we thank those who voted for the public since this song perfectly matched his voice. In addition to singing very well, she once again proved that she had great interpretation skills. We like that she makes all the songs her own, as well as her presence on stage. For her theater improv, she said: “You study in the library.” She had to place the words laundry, remote control, ladder, honey and light bulb. Not surprisingly, she managed. She knew how to occupy the space, put energy into her story. So, even if it goes a little in all directions sometimes, we validate.
Ebony 17/20
It is I am a man by Zazie that Thierry Cham's daughter sang in front of the faculty. And do we really need to comment on his performance? As usual, Ebony showed her vocal power and knew how to captivate us. If we give him first place every week, it will be easier. For the improv theater she said: “You are in the waiting room, at the doctor’s”. And surprise, part of his performance was not broadcast… So it's difficult to evaluate it. From what little we saw, she certainly made the teachers laugh. We therefore imagine that it was successful.
Marine 15/20
High-level challenge for the resident of the north of France. It was attributed to him My Heart Will Go Onby Celine Dion. Marine was gentle at the start and we heard a few false notes. However, she managed well when the notes rose, enough to catch up and move us. We saw Rose and Jack again on the bow of the boat. For the theater improv she shot, you want to take your friends to karaoke. She had to place the words nap, concrete, lace, cuddle. And her performance was hilarious, even if you could tell she was lost at times.
For the Top 3, we can clearly see Ebony, Franck and Marguerite. For the two nominees of the week, we are thinking of Ulysses and Charles or Marine.
