Jérôme and Lucile had announced it, and they were not mistaken: there were a lot of people this Saturday, December 14 in Jons, from the opening of the Christmas market of the candidates of Love is in the meadow. At least 3,000 people are expected over the entire weekend, with the event open from 9:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. until Sunday.

The star couple of season 15 welcomed around twenty alumni of the show to their farm, and you had to be patient to be able to access the stands where the farmers seen on offered the products of their farm, between two photos and dedications.

“It's always strange to experience moments like that, we're not stars,” marvels Jérôme, with a laughing eye, playing the game of clichés naturally for visitors delighted to chat with the couple.

“I look better since I was on TV!” »

We meet Romeo, another candidate from the Rhone, Christmas headband on his head, who has come to lend a hand to his friends. “I have already had my photo taken at least 20 times since this morning,” he slips, and the market had only been open for an hour. “I'm not handsome, but I'm a lot prettier since I was on TV! », he laughs.

He has nothing to sell; his specialty is hay bales. But for the producers, the show was a minor economic miracle, whether they found love or not. “We are recognized throughout , this show is stunning,” continues Roméo.

Lucile, while participating in her husband's activity (jars of vegetables, spreads and caviars, a real hit this Saturday on their stand), has developed influencer missions on Instagram; the others experienced unexpected promotion of their products. Jérôme underlines that “agriculture is not really in good shape” and that “it is fortunate to be able to organize markets like that”. Right next door, Florian and Lola, also from season 15, sell their atypical popcorns – cinnamon, curry, chocolate –, “happy to do direct sales, to meet people”.

“The show changed my life”

Mathieu, also a notable face of season 15, confirms that ADP “changed his life”. The man became a father after a GPA journey which he recounts in two books also on sale at his stand.

“My publisher is very happy, we are already talking about a third! » He also takes the opportunity to sell his veal terrines, a great success, all the visitors take them. Those with trout and gin in particular, his “favourite for the holidays”, and the curious listen to the advice: a selfie, a terrine, a signature for the book, and smiles. “I'm used to people being upset in the markets, but here, everyone is happy, these are the markets of love. »

“Agriculture is not really in good shape”

Because the former candidates have organized through their association eight markets of this type in 2024 in France: each time, one of them welcomes his friends. This time, it's Jérôme and Lucile in Jons. Next year, they hope to participate in at least ten ADP markets. On the other hand, there is also the pleasure of meeting “colleagues from the show”. He himself is the godfather of Mathieu's child, who is reciprocally godfather of the first child of the couple Jérôme and Lucille. Proof that for visitors and farmers alike, the links are not only on the screen.

268, chemin de Saint-Georges in Jons. Free and free entry, without reservation, from 9:30 a.m. to 5 p.m., this Sunday, December 15. Refreshment bar and catering on site.
