“STAT”: Viewers salute the performance of Gabriel Sabourin during a particularly disturbing scene

Viewers who found that the intrigue surrounding Hervé Patry (Gabriel Sabourin) in STAT was starting to run out of steam got their money’s worth, in the episode of Tuesday, December 10, while the patient gave rise to one of the most disturbing scenes of the season.

For several weeks, Hervé Patry, a 78-year-old man who refuses to age, has been giving the Saint-Vincent staff a hard time. We already knew that he had used certain not entirely reliable techniques in order to slow down his aging, but now in yesterday’s episode, he added a layer that we didn’t see coming.

At the very end of the episode, his son, Junior (Antoine L’Écuyer) visits him to get his news. His father then asks him to give him a blood transfusion, as they have done before, with his blood. Faced with refusal, Hervé begins to slip, convinced that he must receive a transfusion of young blood to compensate for the fact that he lost the equivalent of 22 weeks of life while being hospitalized. So he goes to the birthing unit, asking for umbilical cord blood. Audrey (Samantha Fins) intercepts him and tries as best he can to reason with him, but Hervé gets carried away and grabs a baby. The nurse finally makes him listen to reason, and distraught, he gives her the baby before being restrained by security guards.

Let us remember thatIsabelle (Geneviève Schmidt) met the man only a few minutes before the incident. She had mentioned to Audrey that she suspected the patient was becoming senile, after he told her he was immortal.

Rightly, many Internet users, witnesses to the patient’s distress, pointed out how disturbing the scene had been to watch. Several of them also wanted to salute the performance of Hervé Patry’s interpreter, Gabriel Sabourin.

“What an excellent actor Gabriel Sabourin!!”

“Good actor, well played!”

“well done Gabriel Sabourin for your role which is not easy to interpret”

“Very good acting”

“What a good actor”

We can bet that contrary to what many viewers perhaps thought, this is not the end of the intrigue surrounding Hervé Patry. Will he now be followed in psychiatry with Philippe (Patrick Labbé)? To be continued!
