Alex Hugo : Should we watch this episode, which marks the departure of Lionnel Astier?
It’s difficult to watch this episode without a particular emotion when we know that it is Lionnel Astier’s last. The actor delivers a beautiful score in this choral story which gives a place to all the characters and not just to his hero, Alex Hugo. This plot which speaks of revenge and redemption provides good suspense with twists and turns. The plot is quite captivating, despite a slightly too slow pace, and ends emotionally with a touching sequence between Samuel le Bihan and Lionnel Astier, whose characters say their goodbyes. Perhaps the departure of Lionnel Astier would have deserved a special episode around this gruff and endearing police officer, and around his friendship with Alex Hugo. But perhaps also this final sequence made of few words, around a drink and with looks full of emotion, constitutes the most beautiful tribute. A discreet departure, like the series, modest and warm.
