“The Voice” returns soon to TF1. Jury, casting, new features… Musical talent show is undergoing its revolution. Télé Star tells you everything about season 14.

The most anticipated musical talent show of the year is preparing to make its comeback. Indeed, after Alphonse’s victory in 2024, “The Voice” returns to TF1 with big changes. Enter the return of Florent Pagny, new coaches or new mechanics, the show promises to be grandiose. Télé Star tells you everything you need to know about season 14.

The Voice 2025: when will season 14 be broadcast?

For now, the broadcast date of “The Voice” 2025 has not yet been revealed. But last year, the tele-hook started on TF1 on February 10, 2024. As always, it will be Nikos Aliagas who will be in charge.

The Voice 2025: Florent Pagny back, new coaches… Who makes up the jury?

Big changes this year! After Vianney, Mika, Zazie, and Bigflo and Oli in season 13, production decided to change completely… well almost. Apart from Vianney who remains in his red chair, the other coaches have given way to new personalities. Thus, Patricia Kaas and Zaz join the ranks of “The Voice”. “Zaz is a personality who doesn’t fit into any mold. It works on impulse and instinct. From the first glance she is already perched and that touches us because she connects directly to the voice.” confided Nikos Aliagas during the press conference held on November 27, 2024 at Studio Lendit.

Contacted by production three times, Patricia Kaas hesitated at the time to join the adventure. She waited until she felt ready and better about herself to get started. “I still had apprehensions because I hadn’t been there for eight years. Would the talents recognize me and come to my house? I took a step back because I still have a career behind me.” she confided. It was also the return of Florent Pagny which helped her make her decision.

As a reminder, the singer left the show after season 11. Suffering from cancer, he decided to withdraw to take care of his health. “It’s moving and at the same time he doesn’t come to lose.” assured Nikos Aliagas about his comeback. “I love this game, I’ve been on the show for 14 years. When I came back I was at home. I really appreciate the coaches. The two new ones, there is one that I have known for a long time and another that I have noticed recently. We play with humans, it’s touchy but it’s beautiful. This year it’s working really well.” assured the main person concerned.

For his part, Zaz, after meeting the teams, said “yes”. But it hasn’t been easy. “I’m someone who hides but something is lit. I was afraid of being judged and criticized but in fact I wanted to jump in the deep end. I knew I was going to be well looked after.” she said.

The Voice 2025: a casting of professionals and a 95-year-old candidate

As assured by Pascal Guix, artistic producer of “The Voice”, this year, they sought out a wide diversity of talents. “There are more than 65,000 applications” he said. Among the selected candidates, we still find all professions but especially great voices.

We needed talents who sing (…) We were surprised to see the quality of interpretation and mastery of the voice. Pros have been called upon and we are entering another level.” confirmed Florent Pagny. “We had a lot of atypical profiles and it ranges from 16 to 95 years old. It’s a record. Her name is Colette, she is an author, composer. Everyone can introduce themselves regardless of their gender and skin color.” added Pascal Guix.

The Voice 2025: a great revolution is underway

The Voice is making its revolution!” declared Rémy Faure to set the tone. For this new edition, the production teams decided to return to the fundamentals of the program. Thus, they changed the set, the songs and the ways of producing. “The Voice makes music and becomes less of a show. No more battles, no more cross battles… The artists will play live.” assured the director of Stream Programs for the TF1 group. But then, what’s changing?

The second chance button

This is THE big news this season. If blind auditions remain the same, coaches will each have the opportunity to press this button, once, to allow a candidate to re-audition. This therefore gives the chance to
four talents not selected to have a second chance. “This one is hope but the blockage is something else.“said Florent Pagny.

The group stage

Coaches were given carte blanche to create musical tables. They had to create groups per team to deliver a unique performance.” declared Pascal Guix. Thanks to this new stage, the talents, which move from
16 to 6can therefore express themselves more in terms of both styling and staging. Then, the Battles resume on a single broadcast and at the end, the coaches only remember three talents.

A new board

The set was transformed for the occasion. “There are screens all around and greater immersion. The public is also larger with the inclusion of family rooms. We pushed the cursor further.” added Pascal Guix.

A richer second part of the evening

But that’s not all: the second part of the evening has been redesigned to immerse itself in the heart of new talents. Flonflon, known on Twitch for example, will come to talk about the construction of the show and give his opinion, just like Anais Grangerac who will liaise with all the talents. Finally, the show will welcome Eliott Doyle. A rich program which promises great moments of emotion.
