We know that The creators like to hide Easter eggs and make references in the series.as in the credits of season 2 ofHouse of the Dragon.

And while we learned that a sex scene was deleted from season 2 ofHouse of the Dragon, The spectators were able to notice a detail far from being anecdotal in the third episodeThe director said more about this deliberate nod, directly linked to Daenerys Targaryen. Attention spoilers !

House of the Dragon and its pretty egg wink

To give some context, we see in episode 3 ofHouse of the Dragon Rhaenyra Targaryen (Emma D’Arcy) sends her youngest children to the Vale region to keep them safe. During the farewell scene, specifically when Rhaena (Phoebe Campbell) agrees to accompany them, Rhaenyra offers them four fragile dragon eggsrespectively gold, green, reddish black and silvery blue in color.

According to some fans, the blue could be that of Rhaena’s future dragon, Point du Jour. As for the others, the director of this episode, Geeta Patel, confirmed in an interview with Mashable that they were in fact eggs that we know well:

“These are Daenerys’ eggs. All of us who work on this show are huge fans of Game of Thrones, so it was really exciting to shoot that scene.”

Cute little dragon

Of course, this nod is more of a detail than anything else, but by making these eggs appear, the creators of the series are developing a physical link between House of the Dragon et Game of Thrones. As a reminder, they will then be transmitted to Daenerys by Illyrio Mopatis, making her the Mother of Dragons and him will allow him to really start his conquest of the throne of Westeros.
