Following the November 19 episode of Koh-Lanta, The Cursed TribeSophia left the adventure after failing in the immunity test.
Tuesday November 19 Koh-Lanta, The Cursed TribeSophia finished last in the final immunity test, thus sealing her fate before the decisive stage of orientation. An ordeal that she describes as extremely difficult, coming to the end of days of physical and mental fatigue. Questioned by our colleagues from Purepeopleshe explains: “There was a side of me that was sad because I lost near the final. But at the same time, there was also a relief because the adventure is very, very difficult. I'm not going to lie to you, when I understand that I'm eliminated, I tell myself that I will finally be able to return to real life.” The 36-year-old sports coach still says she is proud to have given everything, despite personal pressure that she now considers excessive: “I put pressure on myself from the start in the events because physically, I could impress more than one person. Except that I found myself facing challenges for which I had not prepared..”
“I was always suspicious of him“: Sophie returns to the elimination of Frédéric that she orchestrated in Koh-Lanta, The Cursed Tribe
Even before her elimination in the immunity test, Sophia felt that she was in the hot seat. For several weeks, strategies and alliances had been redesigned, and she, as well as her sidekick Charlotte, seemed to be relegated to the background. In previous episodes, the strategic choices of certain candidates, including Frédéric, had already highlighted this sidelining. Frédéric, former captain of the yellows, had decided to break their initial alliance. Sophia confides: “He turned around without warning Charlotte and me, and he chose to eliminate Lola. I never forgave him and I was always suspicious of him (…) But we kept this resentment, we were just waiting for the right moment (…) We also hear Frédéric say that Charlotte and I are the last wheels of the carriage. No one ever told us clearly but we felt it.” Sophia and Charlotte, had thus tried to turn the tide by orchestrating the elimination of Frédéric during the episode of October 22.
Frédéric responds to Sophia's remarks accusing him of having betrayed him in Koh-Lanta, The Cursed Tribe
In an interview given to Tele-LeisureFrédéric defends this strategic repositioning: “They were not used as pawns. Our five-way alliance ended when we decided to separate from Lola. We then created a new alliance with the boys who remained, namely Jacques, Ilyesse, Fabrice, Michel and me. It's not a question of women or men. I understand their point of view, but if they think carefullyit is logical in relation to the switch of alliances.” For her part, Sopia is still happy with her adventure: “For me, the last few days were truly hell mentally and physically. I was at the end of my strength (…) when I saw that the ex-yellows were potentially going to go to the final, that reassured me. For my part, I gave everything.”
