CANAL+ published a new service plan on the night of November 18 to 19. There are many changes on the menu for subscribers.
For this new CANAL+ service plan, you will be entitled to numerous changes with launches, shutdowns and even name modifications.
Launches
Two new channels are launched on CANAL+. These are themes from France Télévisions with France TV Docs as well as France TV Séries.
The availability of these channels is quite wide with support for PC/Mac, iOS and Android, Apple TV, Vision OS, Chromecast, Connected TVs, Xbox and Playstation.
Android TVs are also affected but they are not available on Freebox Pop, Bbox Android from Bouygues Telecom or SFR Connect TV.
Please note that broadcasting is also not possible on OTT TV decoders (CANAL+ decoder, +Le Cube TNT or Cube-S).
Ultra high definition
The channels CANAL+ UHD SDR and HDR, CANAL+ Box Office UHD SDR, France 2 UHD SDR and Evénement Sport 4K UHD SDR and HDR are now available on iPhone and iPad.
Pass porno
Referencing VOD XXL Dorcel (channel 221) and Pink X (channel 227) passes in CANAL+ decoders. The services remain accessible via the Channels and Apps section.
Stopping/Dereferencing channels
CANAL+ announced the shutdown of several channels but with different scenarios.
- Stopping of the Multisports channel on channel 230 on all media
- Removal of the beIN Sports mosaic (channel 65) on ADSL Orange and SFR. It had already been removed from other media
- Stoppage of France 2 UHD HDR on the CANAL+ Mini Decoder
Modifications techniques
Several Chinese channels – CGTN, CGTN en Français and CGTN Documentary – change transponders and move from 106 to 12 (11.376 GHz).
Name changes
The biggest changes certainly come in this editorial modification about a month and a half before the announced end of the Disney group channels.

- Disney Junior becomes Youth Channel 2
- Disney Channel+1 becomes Youth Channel 3

- National Geographic becomes Discovery Channel 1

Launch of the service plan
If CANAL+ announces a change overnight, the deployment is in reality a little longer. It takes place between 3 a.m. and 5 a.m. on satellite, around 9 a.m. in ADSL/Fiber and OTT as well as around 10 a.m. for myCANAL.
