It stirred on the side of Don’t Touch My Post last Friday. It turns out that the day before, Thomas Guénolé tweeted: “In support of the Palestinian cause, on the occasion of the France-Israel football match, I wore the Palestinian keffiyeh in the pocket of my jacket this evening on the set of #TPMP. It’s not much, but symbols are important. It is common for columnists to wear clothing/accessories with a message. And there is no clothing police.” A tweet which was not too appreciated by Cyril Hanouna and all the columnists of TPMP.
Cyril Hanouna felt trapped by Thomas Guénolé
The day after Thomas Guénolé’s tweet, Cyril Hanouna spoke and announced that he had fired him. “What bothers me most of all is the fact that you didn’t ask me. If he had asked me, frankly I would have told him to get on with his life. But I don’t like the fact that you didn’t ask me. This is where I consider it a trap. It’s not possible to do things behind my back. There are rules here that are clear. (…) I didn’t want him to come because for me he’s already fired for not having asked my permission.”he explained.
During the show, the columnist contacted Cyril Hanouna by SMS to react to his comments. Thomas Guénolé then reminded him that it is he who does not want to be aware of what the columnists are going to do during the show. Live, Cyril Hanouna explained to him that he simply did not want to know what the columnists were going to say. On the other hand, this type of situation is absolutely not the same. He would have liked to know in advance.
Thomas Guénolé back in TPMP
After the daily news of this Friday, November 15, Thomas Guénolé once again took to his Twitter account to write: “Thank you with all my heart to all those who have sent me numerous messages of support and indignation since last night. If I am holding on, it is thanks to you. See you Monday.” As expected, Thomas Guénolé is present in the daily newspaper of November 18.
To start the show, Cyril Hanouna said: “We explained things to Thomas. Everything is fine, we’re moving on.” No live explanation was therefore planned between the two men. But it didn’t take long before Thomas Guénolé and Cyril Hanouna clashed. It all started with Isabelle Morini-Bosc’s rant against the cost of the Olympics which is much higher than expected.

Apart from the two wokes who are happy, Gilles Verdez and Thomas Guénolé”began Cyril Hanouna before the show’s new columnist admitted to having loved the opening ceremony of the Olympic Games. Cyril Hanouna then replied: “If you liked it, that reassures me. I’m traditional, like most of the French people who watch us. I think I look like my audience. You look like your audience, but like you don’t have one.”
Faced with the host’s tackle, Thomas Guénolé retorted: “This was seen recently (that I have no audience).” It was enough for Cyril Hanouna to say: “You know, it’s not because you have two guys retweeting you. Believe me, Twitter is not the public. Thomas Guénolé, that’s it, he’s had two retweets, he thinks he’s Donald Trump . That’s it, he’s gone.”
