This Wednesday, November 13, Aïda and Émile Hammerli took a new step in their project to renovate their chalet in the Swiss Alps. The former participant of Large families: life in XXL made a big announcement!
Although the Hammerli family is no longer present on the show Large families: life in XXL, Aïda continues to share her daily life with her subscribers on Instagram. In September, the mother of Méline, Roxane, Karine, Warren and Harvey celebrated the arrival of fall, a season she loves, while detailing the progress of the work on the house. After becoming owners of their chalet nestled in the heart of the Swiss Alps, Aïda and Émile Hammerli decided to embark on a complete renovation to make it a home in their own image. So, the couple began work in March, with projects in mind for each room: a practical and friendly kitchen, a welcoming living room and bedrooms suitable for their children. On October 16, Aïda Hammerli was proud to announce the end of the work after seven months of effort. And, to satisfy the curiosity of her subscribers, the mother shared a “home tour” on Instagram!

Now that the renovation of the chalet is complete, the Hammerli family is ready to move in. However, Aïda and Émile Hammerli were waiting for the arrival of a permanent staircase. “We're only missing the staircase to go upstairs, so we're going to tinker with something temporarily until we receive it and have it installed, but that's really the only thing we're missing “she said in mid-October. This Wednesday, November 14, Aïda Hammerli finally announced the reception of their long-awaited staircase. After a month of waiting, this final touch marks the complete completion of the work, allowing the family to move freely between the floors. “The staircase is installed! The work is officially completely finished”Aïda confided enthusiastically on Instagram, revealing a photo of their brand new staircase.

Before revealing the final result of the work, Aïda Hammerli was keen to refine the final details. On October 29, she tackled window coverings, choosing a special sticker for added privacy, then began sewing to adjust her curtains. But the exercise did not take place without difficulty: “I'm trying to hem them so they don't drag on the floor anymore, it's total carnage. My mother, who was a seamstress, must be tearing her hair out up there! She gave me this great machine for my 25th birthday.” she shared. Aïda also shares her organizational tips to save time in the morning. Between her family responsibilities and the latest arrangements, she installed lockers for each child, where they can prepare their daily clothes.
