A teaser for upcoming HBO and MAX releases reveals new images from, “The White Lotus” season 3, “It: Welcome from Derry,” “Peacemaker,” “The Righteous Gemstones” and even “Hacks.”
A crazy program. HBO and MAX released a promotional video this Sunday evening for their upcoming big releases. To whet the appetite of fans for the rest of their celebrations, the teaser was broadcast at the same time as the final episode of season 1 of “The Penguin”.
The two-minute clip (see below) contains images from around twenty programs whose first broadcast will take place in the last weeks of this year and in 2025, like season 2 of the series superhero “Peacemaker,” “The Righteous Gemstones” season 4, and “The White Lotus” season 3.
In never-before-seen footage from the latter, Blackpink singer Lisa says, “Welcome to White Lotus in Thailand,” while the cast of Walton Goggins, Carrie Coon, Leslie Bibb, Michelle Monaghan, Parker Posey and Natasha Rothwell (resuming her role as Belinda in the season) arrives at the resort.
Also on the 2025 schedule are new seasons of “The Last of Us,” “And Just Like That,” “Hacks,” “The Gilded Age,” and “The Rehearsal.”
“The Pitt,” “Duster,” “Dune” and the GOT prequel
On the new side, in addition to “It: Welcome from Derry” – which marks the return of the demonic clown played by Bill Skarsgård – the new series planned for next year are the thriller “Duster” by JJ Abrams which takes place in the years 1970, the medical drama “The Pitt” with Noah Wyle (“ER”), the prequel series “Game of Thrones”, “A Knight of the Seven Kingdoms” and the miniseries “Task” with Mark Ruffalo.
Note that the “Dune: Prophecy” series, eagerly awaited by fans of the saga, will arrive on November 18 in France on the MAX platform. This fiction is a prequel taking place 10,000 years before the odyssey of Paul Atréides (Timothée Chalamet). The series is adapted from the novel “The Sisterhood” by Brian Herbert (son of Frank Herbert, author of the literary saga “Dune”) and Kevin J. Anderson. She looks at the order of the Bene Gesserit, a matriarchal community with supernatural powers (which includes the mother of Timothée Chalamet's character in Denis Villeneuve's “Dune” films). Emily Watson plays the mother superior of this guild.
