If some adventurers stand out for their strength or their survival know-how, he stands out as the ace of strategy. This young Swiss, nature lover, does not lack audacity: he multiplies tactics and alliances, and does not hesitate to make risky decisions. This approach, radical and sometimes divisive, earned him regular criticism, even contempt, from his teammates in the camp. Outside of the show, Gustin doesn't leave anyone indifferent either.
Thibault makes an update
The question of Gustin's laziness caused a lot of ink to flow, especially after reunification. On the reunited camp, his behavior was divisive: despite the fact that he was energetic during individual events, he sometimes took big naps in the middle of the camp, which annoyed more than one. However, Thibault, another candidate, came to his defense, and said Instagram this Tuesday, November 5, 2024 that Gustin was actively contributing to the camp by cooking and collecting wood or coconuts. During a question and answer session, a user asked him: “Was Gustin really as lazy as some say?” And the candidate's response was clear: “No, that's not my opinion. He cooked a lot, collected wood, pandanus, coconut… In short, he was very active!”
But that's not all, the pact between Gustin and the yellows has sparked a real storm within the reds. During the council meeting of October 15, 2024, he took everyone by surprise by voting against another candidate and thus betrayed the initial strategy which targeted Frédéric, the former leader of the yellows.
A controversial candidate
This decision angered his teammates, notably Ugo, the leader of the Reds, who did not hide his frustration by accusing him of playing too personally: “I had a lot of trouble voting for Frédéric this evening, I apologize. It's the game but it really upset me, I made the effort for the team. It bothers me a lot crazy thing what you're doing, you think we're not making concessions for the team now you're playing personally, you're playing personally? […] Gustin has just made a big move, he prefers to play it individually, everyone plays it how they want, it's not my method. We're going to get decanted one after the other. Gustin, thank you.” Sarah demanded to know who had voted her out, and Gustin, bluntly, claimed his vote, explaining that he had been waiting for this opportunity for a long time: “Sarah is a person who unscrupulously judges you in front of everyone to try to demean you, to make you look like the bad guy. She is a person who laughs out loud with everyone, only to then screw you up better. the knife in the back and who disrespected me enormously throughout the adventure. I was just waiting for an opportunity to eliminate you personally. It’s hard but she’s been as hard on me as I say to her.”
