With 80 films to its credit, the France 3 series entitled “Murders in…” has enjoyed immense success in France and abroad since it is broadcast in more than 40 countries. In 2019 the episode “Murders in Tahiti” was very appreciated by viewers, which is why the team of the 1st Polynesian episode decided to return to fenua to produce a new opus, this time in the Marquesas.
The series “Murders at…” returns to Polynesia, this time to the Marquesas. So for 10 days, the director François Velle, the metropolitan delegate producer Jean-Charles Felli, and the 50 members of the technical and artistic team (recruited in mainland France but also on the fenua), have been at work in the natural settings from Nuku Hiva.
Sara Mortensen (Plus belle la vie, Astrid et Raphaëlle), and Medi Sadoun (What have we done to the Good Lord?) play the main roles in this episode of “Murders in the Marquises”, while several actors budding were recruited locally (mainly in Nuku Hiva).

Moreover, the producer of the film did not hide his great satisfaction with the performance of the Marquesan amateur actors, and also thinks that the local government would have everything to gain from further supporting the audiovisual sector in Polynesia and the Marquesas in particular. “It’s surprising, even in mainland France we don’t find this quality of play among amateurs, and it’s amateurs who can become professionals”believes Jean-Charles Felli.
