The president of the LFP believed he had fulfilled his role by obtaining an agreement with DAZN for the broadcast of almost the entire French championship, with beIN completing the offer with one match per day. But, two months after this moment of boasting, the observation is bitter: the English broadcaster is struggling to convince viewers to subscribe, with an L1 that no longer appeals.

Canal, beIN, Mediapro, Amazon and now DAZN: Ligue 1 has migrated without finding stability since the Covid crisis. Moreover, even by offering an attractive price and with 1.7 million subscribers after a year, Amazon dropped the TV rights deal, after noting heavy losses.
