“The Diplomat”, season 2 (Netflix)

Un aircraft carrier attacked, a marriage on hold… The six new episodes of this thriller, still as tense and acidic, integrate Ukraine and post-Brexit British fragility into its plot. With a decidedly wonderful Keri Russell.

“Our lives in the air”, miniseries (. Slash)

Two teenagers who want to end things meet on a roof and make a pact. Margaux Bonhomme brilliantly adapts Manon Fargetton's novel through this touching and very modern miniseries.

“In the Shadow”, miniseries (France 2)

For France 2, candidate Édouard Philippe contributed to the script of this thriller about a clone of Édouard Philippe in the presidential campaign. On arrival, a series full of clichés, which doesn't say much.

“Sentinels: Ukraine”, season 2 (OCS)

After the Sahel, the soldiers of Sentinels pile up again in Ukraine, in the early hours of the Russian invasion. Remarkably written and directed first episodes, which tell the story of the war from a civilian perspective.

“Children are kings”, miniseries (Disney +)

Freely adapted from a novel by Delphine de Vigan, this miniseries highlights the dangers of exposing minors on the networks. A salutary reflection, with an amazing cast, but parasitized by the clichés of the detective genre.

“Le Daron”, season 1 (TF1+)

In this improbable legal series, we sometimes laugh at the escapades of Didier Bourdon as a lawyer… daron, who discovers he has a hidden daughter. A rather cheesy but nice series.

“The Zen Murders”, season 1 (Netflix)

To manage his stress, a crooked lawyer puts his mastery of meditation at the service of assassinations. An original and lively German series.

“Love Me”, seasons 1 and 2 (Arte.tv)

In Stockholm, a father and his two adult children see their relationships turned upside down after the sudden disappearance of Kersti, the mother and wife. A pleasant and lively sentimental chronicle, over two seasons.

“Murder Club”, miniseries (M6+)

Daniel (Éric Cantona) is depressed and alcoholic, Amélia (Tiphaine Daviot) is crazy and full of life, and both are looking for a murderer. A few touches of humor spice up this non-essential thriller.

“Before”, miniseries (Apple TV+)

Lost sight after the comedy of Harold Ramis Mafia Blues, more than twenty years ago, Billy Crystal resurfaced in this miniseries, where he again plays a psychologist. But the atmosphere is much less funny: responsible for monitoring a child suffering from attacks of violence and horrifying visions, Eli, his character is himself plagued by strange nightmares following the suicide of his wife. What if their meeting was not a coincidence? What if their respective delusions were one and the same? What if it wasn't delusions? You see the idea. Redundant and sluggish, this series on the borders of reality gets tangled up in clichés. Shyamalan doesn't want to. — C.Ve.

o Before, created by Sarah Thorp, 10 × 30 mins (United States, 2024). With Billy Crystal, Jacobi Jupe, Judith Light, Rosie Perez…
