This Monday, October 28, the series They gave him returns to TF1 from 9:10 p.m. for two new episodes. In the first story of the evening, you will be able to see, as a guest star, the actress and singer Louisy Josephformer member of the cult group L5. Furthermore, after a small narrative ellipse, Pauline Lefranc (Mélanie Bernier) and Vincent Daron (Didier Bourdon) finally became partners and moved their premises. In the second episode of the evening, the character of Coco appears again. The opportunity for Tele-Leisure to interview his interpreter, Mathilda May.

They gave him : “Coco struggles to face the truth“, explique Mathilda May

Télé-Loisirs: What did you like about the role of Coco?
Mathilda May : He's a cash character. She doesn't bother with conventions and goes straight to the point. She is also grappling with contradictions. She has a somewhat close relationship with her daughter and, at the same time, she has difficulty facing the truth. It's always interesting to play characters who are both externally strong and internally conflicted.

What other aspects of this project attracted you?
Humor is a wonderful tool for telling a story. Today I would have a hard time doing without it, or finding myself in a role where there is not the distancing of humor. Furthermore, I really like meeting new acting partners. I am always eager to evolve and learn, to work with great actors like Didier Bourdon who has virtuosity. He knows how to be funny, intense, with a very strong presence, he has an extremely broad range.

They gave him : “It put even more pressure on me“, Mathilda May talks about filming

How was filming your scenes with Didier Bourdon?
I was nervous because when you have a role that isn't omnipresent, every day of filming is a bit like a first day. I put a lot of pressure on myself because I always want to do better, it must be my background as a dancer that wants that. Didier, who was already well established in his character, was much more at ease, that put even more pressure on me (She laughs.). I found him very invested and concerned by the whole series, involved in a collective.

Did you already know Didier Bourdon?
We knew each other from afar because I put on a show called More if affinitieswith Pascal Légitimus, for more than three years. At the end of this show, we invited Les Inconnus to get together. We met on this occasion with Didier Bourdon.
