ABC broadcast the penultimate episode of season 7 of “911” this Thursday evening. An episode full of twists and turns which ended with one of the heroes in a critical situation.

Warning, the following paragraphs contain spoilers for the penultimate episode of season 7 of 9-1-1. If you don’t want to know anything, move on!

It’s no secret: the writers of 9-1-1 like to play on viewers’ nerves with devastating cliffhangers. And episode 9 of season 7, the penultimate of the season broadcast this Thursday on ABC, was no exception to the rule.

Captain Nash in danger

In this episode, Captain Bobby Nash (Peter Krause), fearless leader of Firehouse 118, suffers a heart attack after saving Athena (Angela Bassett) from their burning house. A fire that was caused by the firefighter himself.

After trying to apologize to his father in a dream, his father replied: “I was supposed to save you, kid. Now you have to save yourself.” That’s when Bobby woke up to a burning living room.

Earlier in the episode, Bobby surprised Athena by announcing that he wanted to resign from 118. Worried about her husband, the policewoman asked Amir (the husband of a victim of a fire that Bobby had failed to save) but this only worsened tensions between the two spouses.

The episode ended in complete chaos with paramedics rushing around the fallen hero, without us knowing if all their efforts saved his life.

This is obviously not the first time that Bobby’s life has been in danger, since the beginning of 9-1-1. In the first episode of season 7 alone, he almost drowned when his cruise ship sank.

But this time things seem different. Episode 9 was indeed marked by a farewell montage in which Bobby ensured that 118 could continue without him.

Are Bobby’s life really in danger? Will the 118 have to face new grief? Answer in the final episode of season 7 of 9-1-1 which will air Thursday, May 30 on ABC. The new season 7 should be broadcast soon in France on M6.
