Labeaume hosts the Book and Comics Festival, bringing together around thirty authors including Zarina Khan, an essential voice of Ardèche. Philosopher, author, actress, director and playwright, she shares her unique journey and her commitment to peace.

Zarina Khan, Ambassador of Peace

Zarina Khan, of Russian-Pakistani origin, was born in Tunis and grew up in Spain and Switzerland. Her spiritual life is marked by religious diversity: Muslim by birth, raised in the Russian Orthodox tradition, then by Dominican nuns, a Protestant father-in-law and a Jewish husband. This world citizen has campaigned for peace for decades, having even been nominated for the Nobel Prize in 2005. Citizen of the world and Ardèche resident

Since 2000, Zarina Khan has lived in Mirabel in Ardèche. She continues her transdisciplinary work and has published numerous works, including The wisdom of lovingawarded the Seligmann Prize against racism in 2017. Today, she presents in Labeaume three volumes recently published by Éditions Jacques Flament, compiling her most significant texts ( “KHANPUS” – Éditions Jacques Flament)
