But Will Trent is above all a well-dressed character who, with the best elucidation rate, annoys his partners as much as he is praised by his superiors. What should we expect from this new series? Will Trent : What does the new American series from TF1 have in store?

Kidnapping, disturbing disappearance, death of all kinds: Will Trent is the man for every situation. But he is not just an ultra-efficient GBI agent, he carries a heavy personal story that we discover over the course of these first 13 episodes (a season 2 has already been broadcast and a third has been confirmed). Abandoned in a trash can, he grew up in an orphanage with Angie, who also works in the police, but on the floor below, that of the PJ. Moving from host family to host family, they formed an unbreakable bond.

Will Trent : What is the new American series from TF1 worth? Our opinion

Will Trent, Angie, Faith and Ormewood their partners, Amanda the uncompromising big boss of the GBI: the series adapted from the collection of eponymous novels imagined by Karin Slaugther (originally from Georgia, there is no secret), offers a gallery of tortured characters but all endearing. Without forgetting Bad Bitch Betty, the horrible chihuahua adopted by Will Trent and nicknamed by Nico, also a good choice. Characters precisely embodied by their interpreters: Ramón Rodríguez, Erika Christensen (Parenthood), Iantha Richardson, Jake McLaughlin (Believe), Sonja Sohn (Star Trek: Discovery).
Among the good surprises of this first season, the presence of Jennifer Morrison (Dr. House)Mark-Paul Gosselaar (Saved by the Bell), Greg Germann (Ally McBeal) but also that of Lisa Gay Hamilton (The Practice: Donnell and Associates, the best legal series of all time), impeccable in the role of Faith’s mother, a former commissioner now retired who has the gift of sticking her nose everywhere.
If the investigations and police intrigues are careful (as well as the image and the costumes), the main interest of Will Trent resides above all in the personal lives of the characters and their struggles, even if this essentially boils down to their work. Special mention to the original soundtrack, well found. Not as classic as it seems, the series remains good entertainment for anyone who wants to cross the Atlantic.
