Ugo Lartiche is back this year in Koh-Lanta, The cursed tribe. This candidate, well known to fans of the TF1 show, told us behind the scenes of his third participation.
Another new season of Koh-Lanta ? This is a reflection that could come from TF1 viewers, tired of so many editions of the adventure show. To counter this reaction, the production called on two heroes of the survival game: Frédéric known for his keen sense of strategy which he demonstrated in Koh-Lanta : Cambodia and Ugo, the survivor of Koh-Lanta: Malaysia and the island of the banished in Koh-Lanta, The Legend. The latter begins his third participation in the show in The Cursed Tribe by inheriting the role of captain of his team. In an interview given to Tele-Leisurehe talks behind the scenes of his return to TF1.
Ugo Lartiche explains why he is participating for a third time in Koh-Lanta : “It’s very hard to say no to an adventure like this!”
Ugo Lartiche left the memory of a straight and sympathetic candidate. When the production of Koh-Lanta asks him to participate once again in the show, his response is not long in coming. “I said yes and then I thought about it and I said to myself that it was actually going to be hard like the old editions!” explains the 43-year-old candidate. Weight loss, physical and psychological fatigue, extreme hunger… The consequences of participating in the show are numerous and sometimes very serious. However, Ugo accepts. He tells us: “It’s very hard to say no to an adventure like this!“Anyone whose life is now punctuated by his participation in the program will quickly become disillusioned as the game approaches.
“The night before I didn’t sleep” : Ugo (Koh-Lanta) remembers his worry before filming The cursed tribe
Ugo embarks on a new adventure, he remembers his impatience: “I’m going there all fired up, the days before I’m very happy to participate.” And finally, the candidate realizes the challenge of his third participation: “The night just before the start, I had a big panic, what am I doing here? I remain very marked through my editions by the difficulty of the adventure. The night before I didn’t sleep because I was afraid. I know that I’m going to run out of food, that it’s going to be a hassle, that I’m going to have to sleep in the rain… It’s the game of survival that starts again. be? Am I going to be eliminated in the first place? All these questions which make up the beauty of the adventure.” Ugo ends up getting into the game and fully embracing his role as captain. He concludes: “This is something I’ve never done before and can add to my bucket list..”
