Gino Chouinard was present at It’s a good end to the week to discuss his novel 3800 morningswhere he also discussed the end of his role as host at Hi Hello. He who, let us remember, chose to bow out to pursue new projects, but also to be more present for his family at normal times.
The one who received many praises and tributes at the end of his beautiful morning adventure, as well as during the last moments, also needed to find himself in a bubble afterwards, as he explains in talk-show of Julie Bélanger et Jean-Michel Anctil.
A wave of love which still upsets him.
“I’m still upset by it, for real (…) Honestly, I loved this extraordinary media exposure, but this summer, I needed something small; I needed to be with my little gang. My girlfriend, my children, far from the spectacular, I needed it, a question of balance,” reveals Gino with frankness.
It was subsequently that he confided in the dynamic with his lover, now being more present at home and less tired.
“Quietly, my biological clock resets and I am in a good mood in the evening. That makes my wife very happy,” says the former host, who often still gets up at 3 a.m. naturally, but who slowly returns to a different rhythm.
“No, but I thoughtIsabelle was going to throw me out. She had been doing her evening routine for 21 years, all by herself. She watches the shows she wants (…). It changes a dynamic too. Ultimately, she is very happy!”, adds Gino with happiness and humor.
