The series tells the story of siblings who, after the death of their father, must face a series of baffling trials in order to inherit his fortune.

The series features various characters, including an Inuit biochemistry student (Nancy Saunders) helping her itinerant cousin (Ulivia Uviluk), a retired farmer selling ferrets (Gilles Renaud), an influencer (Eve Landry) considering being a surrogate mother for her gay friends (Guillaume Cyr, Félix-Antoine Tremblay), and a doctor caught in a love triangle (Mélissa Désormeaux-Poulin).

Stella Launière, a law student, is doing her internship at the Innocence Project under the supervision of Armand Coupal, a renowned criminal lawyer. His mission: to prove the innocence of Anderson Jean-Louis, a convict wrongly accused of murder despite his troubled past. Stella will have to assimilate Coupal’s credo: “Ten guilty people are better off at liberty than one innocent person in prison.”

The series highlights an exceptional cast including Guy Nadon, Emi Chicoine, Fayolle Jean Jr, Sophie Lorain, Benoît Brière, Claudia Bouvette, Linda Malo, Alex Bisping, Audrey Roger and many other talents.

We are currently halfway through filming. In a recent interview, the author expresses her enthusiasm for her very first comedy-drama. Ironically, none of the characters are named Simone, despite the series title. Featured actresses include Marie Ève Perron, Anne-Élisabeth Bossé, Karine Gonthier-Hyndman And Rachel Graton.

The series, written by Eric Bruneau in collaboration with his partner Kim Lévesque Lizotte, immerses spectators in a captivating anxiety-inducing atmosphere. Éric Bruneau plays Marc-André, a man who voluntarily left the capitalist system to seek meaning in his life, squatting in the apartment of his young friend Fanny (Juliette Gariépy). Under pressure from his friends Patrick (Mani Soleymanlou), François (Émile Proulx-Cloutier) and the latter’s spouse, Evelyne (Karine Vanasse), Marc-André returns to work for the 1%, making a decision with important consequences. At the same time, Vincent (Benoît Drouin-Germain), also having changed direction after professional burnout, became a civil servant for Revenu Québec, which displeased his wife Stéphanie (Mylène Mackay) accustomed to a more luxurious lifestyle. The series explores the personal challenges and moral dilemmas of these characters as they face contemporary social and economic pressures.
