A surprising decision as Tipik’s comedy show is the victim of controversy.

Update 9/26 at 4:08 p.m.:

This Sunday, September 29 at 11:05 p.m., Tipik had planned a rebroadcast of “Grand cactus”. But at the last minute, the channel decided to replace the show with a film… A surprising decision, which we thought was linked to the current controversy surrounding the show, and the famous “128th sex” sketch worn by Cécile Giroud and Damien Gillard.

On Wednesday evening, the channel presented an apology in connection with this sequence broadcast last Thursday on Tipik. As a reminder, several people denounced to the Superior Audiovisual Council (CSA) the “transphobic and stigmatizing nature of the lyrics of the song against transgender and non-binary people” incriminated in the sequence in question.

In reality, it is a coincidence, RTBF corrects: the canceled show was a summer best of which has nothing to do with all that. In fact, it is indeed a coincidence… The rebroadcast of last Thursday’s show was not on the agenda.

This Tuesday, September 24 in prime time on La Trois, the film “Marie-Antoinette” by Sofia Coppola has, according to the audiences, attracted many young adults. And RTBF therefore decided to rebroadcast it on Sunday evening on Tipik (the group’s “youth” branded channel)… instead of “Grand cactus”!
