Edifying testimonies. Telerama published an investigation on Monday, September 23, which paints another picture of the show “Quotidien”, presented by Yann Barthès and broadcast every evening on TMC. The article reports the confidences of a series of employees of Bangumi, the production company of the talk show.
A former executive depicts in particular “a crazy company with crazy resources… but which can also very easily crush you”The newspaper also notes the case of an employee who suffered from depression and described in a letter “intimidation, harsh, gratuitous and incessant public criticism”.

“Walk or die”
Some even assured the weekly that it was “walk or die” and that “Quotidien” functioned as a “start-up”. “It’s all well and good to display values, but you still have to apply them.”notes a former collaborator. And if the legal director and head of human resources explains to Telerama not having received “no warning of stress or discomfort”an employee from Bangumi has reportedly been arrested since March for burnout.

Laurent Bon, the producer of the talk show, defends a show for which “Not everyone is necessarily cut out” and ensures to be “law-abiding”. “We have no convictions to date”he concludes. According to the newspaper, four employees have appealed to the industrial tribunal: two image reporters and Eric and Quentin, who left the show in 2019.
