Next Wednesday, May 15 at 9:10 p.m., M6 will offer a special evening to mark the 15th anniversary of “Top Chef”, with 50 former candidates.
For this big evening, the 6 candidates still in the running will have to impress a jury of 50 former participants! Everyone is gathered at the Château de Ferrières, where the season began, they will have to concoct an entire menu for the prestigious guests: from cocktails to the traditional birthday cake!
Candidates will have 4.5 hours to complete 4 services. A welcome cocktail, then a cocktail piece as a starter, followed by a cocktail piece as a main course and finally a cake.
At each service, a group of former candidates will taste the candidates’ preparations. They will vote and eliminate the proposal that convinced them the least.
At each stage a candidate will therefore be eliminated and directly sent to the elimination round. Two candidates will be able to qualify at the end of this evening for next week.
For the elimination test, candidates will have to tackle the dish without cooking in 45 minutes. Hobs, ovens, microwaves, no traditional cooking method will be accessible. François-Régis Gaudry will take this test and blind taste the dishes.
To decide between them, the candidates will have to show a lot of ingenuity. At the end of this test, a chef and his candidate will be definitively eliminated from the competition.
