“Haiti will take time to recover from the sudden disappearance of Ms. Lilianne Pierre-Paul. This very committed journalist who has climbed all the levels in this very delicate or even dangerous field in Haiti, had become an undisputed symbol of the press in her country.
The whole nation followed his progress. From her first steps, her courage, her eloquence and her determination had made her a comforting presence, a real breath of fresh air. Ms. Liliane Pierre-Paul has invested all her charisma in her profession as a journalist. In doing so, she influenced several generations, and left an indelible mark.
Unfortunately, she will not have seen this new Haiti she had always dreamed of. But his influence will never die. It will repeat itself endlessly until the triumph of truth.
Our sincere condolences to his family, to Radio Kiskeya, to the press in general, to Haitian society as a whole, affected by this enormous loss.
